Termite specialistsDid you know that official figures show "subterranean termites cause five times more damage to homes than fire?" In some areas it is one in three homes that are attacked and it is very difficult to detect their presence unless you're an expert. Our "Peace of Mind Systems" combining Termite Treatments and Termite Inspections will provide a management program to reduce the risk of undetected termites eating your home. Australia Standards recommend that every home in Australia should have a Termite Inspection at least once a year on their property and surrounding land. A lot of suburbs around Sydney are classified as high risk for Termite Activity and that could mean that your property should be inspected more frequently throughout the year if you don't have a Peace of Mind System installed!
Termite Inspections
This is a full inspection of your home including the roof void and sub floor (if accessible), every room in your house, all external buildings on the property including perimeter fencing and all external areas. Predominantly inspecting for active termites, the report will also note if borers, wood rot or damp areas have been found (these can attract and encourage termites into your home) making your home higher risk. "Peace of Mind Systems" can include a combination of termite monitoring and a treated zone to surround the home both acting as a form of protection against your home being eaten by termites.
Termite TreatmentsTermite MonitoringPeace of Mind Systems This system acts like an alarm system and informs you when there are termites on your property. Lures (wooden blocks) are placed in these stations. Inspections of these stations are done at 12 week intervals over one year. If activity is found then baiting will commence to eradicate the colony. This is done with a bait that will be eaten by the termites, it is then transferred throughout the colony until total destruction has occurred. Baiting or Chemically Treated ZonesPeace of Mind Systems Environmentally Friendly Chemically Treated Zones come in 2 forms.
